I do a lot of muddy festivals, I chose a tow rope over 4 WD as it was a tad cheaper, so far I haven’t needed it

I’d be happy if I was to get anything in the 40s on a run, I drive a wrangler jeep 2.5 TD at the moment and average about 20/25 mpg so anything will be an improvement, I was just so impressed with the return of mpg that the transporter was giving out on the 82/102 .And like you say I would only be using it the second vehicleAre you likely to be doing enough miles to worry about fuel consumption? I'm not sure about camper vans, but it's said that the average motorhome annual mileage is 3000. If it's 'only' doing 30 instead of 35mpg, does it really matter? A rough calculation at current pumps prices gives a difference of £78 in fuel over 3000 miles.
Wow that’s sounds good more and more members on the forum have now confirmed that’s 84 ps will do the job. Big thanks to everyone for all your helpWe hired an 84ps SWB in Scotland two years ago. I was disappointed when I discovered what 84ps meant as “ps” is not a designation used in Australia. The vehicle was a full Jobl conversion with a manual box. We found no downside at all while driving it extensively in the Outer Hebrides. I did wonder what might happen on one occasion on Harris with a very steep hill start coupled with a hard right hand turn. No problems at all. Cruised well on motorways. I don’t remember the fuel consumption but I do remember being impressed.
Did you go for the 84ps? I am looking at one and ot willbe a big step down. Thoughts please on yours?Hi everyone please can I have some advice and some Help, please take it easy as new to this forum . I have been scouring the Internet for two months and thought I’d found the perfect T6
I was looking for the 102PS just realised the vehicle that I thought was perfect is only 84 PS
I am going to do a conversion my main thing is getting good fuel economy , i’m not bothered about speed I just want good fuel economy . I can’t seem to find much info about the 84 PS
Please advise me I thought this vehicle ticked all the boxes . Most people just say it’s underpowered .help
Thank you. Big decision as I have a 150ps and that flies not that I need it.Mines in for conversion and i was suprised how nippy the bare van is so im sure it will be fine i wont be zooming as long as it gets up to 70 and cruises fine... Il go to pendle if not
Yes, 84 Hp will do the job.Wow that’s sounds good more and more members on the forum have now confirmed that’s 84 ps will do the job.
Lmao here ... Great reply @DaveD Just shared with the Mrs ... keep the 150 is what I am getting!Yes, 84 Hp will do the job.
Manual wind up windows will do the job.
But I want to enjoy driving it too.
My daughter's Fiat 500 has 82 Hp, I wouldn't want my T6 to have only 2 more!
I know coz I'm reading the other thread!!!Lmao here ... Great reply @DaveD Just shared with the Mrs ... keep the 150 is what I am getting!
I am like you ... I get your logic @DaveD and it make sense to me on the 82hp! CheersI know coz I'm reading the other thread!!!
No matter what anybody says, 84Hp can't be right in a Fiat 500 and a camper van. It just can't. It's not enough in the Fiat 500!
(before anybody tells me about torque, I know. And it doesn't change my mind.)
Ended up walking away due to the power. Went for 150!!! It fliesI wouldn't want any less than 102, even then I ended up remapping mine. Well mostly to get rid of the speed limiter!
Well, this Camper fell in love with the Mrs... so that was that decision made for me. Happy wife = Happy Life. I am hopeful Phil we are allowed out by the end of April Cheers PaulWhy would you want a camper van that flies? Your question was, is 84ps enough for a camper, which it is, despite the claims of those who dont have an 84!
Enjoy your new van, regardless... if only we could actually use them!
Cheers
Phil
