A Few Electrical Related Questions

Hi all,

I hope every one is well

I am a newbie to the site and to the T6. I should be picking my kombi up in the next few weeks.

I hope you don't mind me firing some questions out there.

I am an electrician by trade but not an auto electrician. I do have auto experience as I have made a couple of classic mini looms before as they are my other love but nothing as modern and up to date as a T6 so please bear with me.

Out of interest what do people generally pay per year on insurance for 150ps kombi with the normal mods such as abt spoiler, alloy wheels, side bars roof rails etc?

I'd like to put a fridge in the back of the kombi as we will use it for camping trips and I was wondering if there are companies which will install the necessary components with a leisure battery and hook up point and how much such an install generally costs?

I also like the look of the new style day time running lights and heard they can throw up a warning light on the dash. I've noticed some kits also offer a wiring loom adaptor which holds the dipped beam on when the full beam is in use. Has anyone got any advice on where to purchase these and if they recommend these types of aftermarket products.

Thanks

I’m not sure you can compare insurance as postcode, age, endorsements can make a huge difference

Best you start thinking about additional soundproofing as it’s almost non existent on the Kombi

To be honest I was just interested to know what sort of money people pay out of interest.

Is the soundproofing bad on factory fitted Kombi’s?

Regards

Paul
