ACC & City Braking - How Its Done -

All DSG equipped T6 with factory ACC are "Follow To Stop" version.
Is your ACC retrofit going to work: "Follow To Stop" or "Stop & Go"?
I know that supposedly Electronic Parking Brake is required for "Stop & Go" functionality of ACC system but is it really necessary?

T6 can only do "follow to stop" because of missing parking brake.
That is an issue with the brake preassure which can only be hold for a short time, after that you need to press the brake paddle yourself.
In the other Volkswagen Cars with "electric parking brake" at that moment the "electric parking brake" is taking over.
Even the T6.1 will not have this feature, because of missing "electric parking brake".
But i am already thinking about retrofittig this :)
No clue if how what, lets see

- Voodoomagic Software enabling of ACC Feature in ACC Unit is needed

Can you elaborate on this a bit i assume you are talking about the radar sensor ?

Are you activating the SwaP function with odis or have you found a way around this ??
Interested to know if you are doing this in situ or on a bench etc etc

Even if you add EPB ... it will not work
because this is made by ABS first ,
For example - MQB Golf 7 in USA have no EPB (yes.....still with hand brake) and can use FtS function

Even if you add EPB ... it will not work
The mechanical Part is not the problem.
Of course adding EPB will only work correct if we find the correct ABS wiering and coding for this.
But as soon as the first T6.1 VCDS scans and shematics are available, we can look there.

Do you really think VW will resurrect 15 year old platform in Europe ? If they already focus on MQB ?
maybe ... in Brasil, India, or Bangladesh, but I think they will remove components ... not add EPB

Thats how mine works . . . . it will follow-to-stop, and will hold for a couple of seconds.

if the traffic moves on it will follow on again..........

But if the traffic doesn't move on, then by the 3rd second you get the "apply brake" warning and the ACC disengages.

And if I ignore "apply brake", mine deactivates ACC and starts moving forward even if there is a stopped vehicle in front of me!

Yes they are doing it right now.
I already took look at the T6.1 Transporter and the T6.1 Multivan.
In Germany you can order them since some days.

Whell i could not make a VCDS autoscan, but the following "NEW" will come into T6.1 which i think will be a improved PQ25.

- Lane Keep Assistent, for this they will change the Steering to Elektonik version
- With Elektronik Steering, Park-Assistent will come too.
- Entertainment System is been upgraded to MIB 3, i am very interested how this will work with PQ25, or did they change electronics to MQB ? We will see in short time.

But one think will be missing, i was wrong in my Post.
EPB will not come, it is still the old style manual park Breake.

Is there a simple VCDS setting that would allow max speed selection?
Another words, could I increase my max speed from 160 to 210?

I recently screen dumped the complete ECU info obtained by Carista for my T6 TSI DSG 204 Highline panel van (without ACC) and, as well as the ABS info that I noted in a post above, I’ve just noticed that it also listed the following ACC info:

Adaptive cruise control
Part #: 7N0907572C
Coding: 00005000FE0779 (hex)
Component: ACC Bosch PQx

What, if anything, can be gleaned from that?

Is it possible to cover the radar like in other vw models or is there a reason for it being open? Great write up thank you.
