Adaptive cruise fault

Forgot to say that when it does fault when i switch the engine off it seems to rest itself again and be fine for another 20mins or so.

And when you open any door?

But anyways this fault doesn't seems to be "active" at the moment cause otherwise your "vehicle status" menu entry would be present constantly.
This is actually a very positive side effects of having DIRECT TPMS on board.

I've found it now, didnt realise i had to have the engine running!. And as you say its clear now.So are you saying its to do with the TPMS?.

No.
When DIRECT TPMS is on board the VEHICLE STAUTS is constantly present in menu and you don't need to open door or have a warning to actually see it.

So had it scanned today and they faults wont clear. I have a copy of the scan if anyone can help further?.

Wheel alignment issues can cause faults with systems like this.

Even a slight angle misalignment can cause the vehicle to pull slightly to one side or the other which you will subconsciously make minor corrections to.

Over a period, the small steering angle discrepancy may cause the ACC to fault.

I'd have wheel and sensor alignment carried out to rule it out.

How can we help you if you won't provide the info you have been asked for?

Have you been working on your steering wheel recently?
And again, have you got the photo of the actual dash message?

Get your wheel alignment checked and then the sensor realigned.

Thanks for that

Thanks for that. It looks like youve nailed it for me. I've looked at the front wheels and i can see the alignment is out. Im waiting on the delivery of new tyres so as soon as they are fitted il be having wheel alignment done and sensor calibrated. Cheers.

Would i need sensor calibration if the wheel alignment is sorted?.
