My AdBlue warning came on as we drove along today. 1400 miles range. 2017 Shuttle.
Mine comes on at 1400 miles I leave it for a couple of weeks then I know it will take a big drum full without overspillMy AdBlue warning came on as we drove along today. 1400 miles range. 2017 Shuttle.
I'll check Carista first thing, and let you know what i find. cheersI would start by checking the actual level the AdBlue sensor is seeing and also the remaining AdBlue range in the ECU.
These can be extracted from the ECU by using e.g. VCDS, OBDeleven, perhaps even Carista nowadays has included those in live data.
Also would be more than useful to verify engine's software is up to date - please post "Detailed ECU info"-report (under Carista Service menu).

Thanks. There is a software update available - version 6166 - which would cure some glitches causing false alarms.Engine Part #: 04L906056KL

Thanks for the reply, yes I did clear initially the first time it came up and I did have that fault plus another one but I have had those lingering since I bought the van and thought nothing of it. I will check to see if it’s come back up but driven 150 miles since clearing. Just added some additive to the Adblue, fingers crossed this helpsThanks. There are no faults registered in the ECU - did you clear any? In case of false alarms I would have expected to see e.g. P204F.
@Keith 81 had similar difficulties - even with updated ECU software. Not sure if the issue was resolved.
Adblue /software version
Evening all still having issues with my t6 had egr replaced yesterday still have the adblue error with MFD countdown would anybody know what the most up to date software is for my vehicle mine is ver 6163 I thinkwww.t6forum.com
Yeah I will try and see what comes up first before remap, as highlighted an update is due on the ECU which might help, fingers crossed it’s just a blocked injector that’s causing it. Then I can try to just clean it as the video describes . Will let you know how I get on.Let us know how you get on. Not sure about mapping it out as heard mixed messages with what it actually does and whether it then passes emissions on the mot etc. the video ( he has a few on his site showing similar cleans) shocked me on how blocked up these things get and wondered if you can do that sort of clean on a transporter or not if required? As above mine now has the additive in to supposedly clean and prevent crystallising and so far no reoccurrences so will keep using it on top ups to see.
Morning, yeah been absolutely fine so far, no issues to report, will be doing a trip to wales next weekend so that will be first long distance run. Otherwise all seems good so farHi Daniel, any update on the adblue delete???? Has the van been OK without the adblue?
Cheers mate, I've been thinking of having it deleted....all the niggling issues with it are driving me bonkers!Morning, yeah been absolutely fine so far, no issues to report, will be doing a trip to wales next weekend so that will be first long distance run. Otherwise all seems good so far
Cheers Daniel
Hi no issue at all, the Adblue gets injected into the exhaust after the engine combustion and only when it gets up to temp. It then reduces the nox by around 10%. So shouldn’t effect the efficiency at all ( my limited knowledge). Initially after having the Adblue mapped out, the dash did display Adblue but the readout was - - - . I then checked with my Carista and saw some warnings, cleared thenm all and it removed Adblue from the dash readout so you don’t have any knowledge that there is an issue. The one thing I haven’t checked and that is MOT test , however I have been assured this would not come up. So all in all very happy everything runs smoothly and the van runs great. No issues with over 1000miles done. This is my experience with it and do at your own risk I don’t accept liability if anything should go wrong. It worked great for me. Good luck with your remap!Hi Daniel
I’m thinking of getting my adblue mapped out as I’m having problems
All ok with your van ?
And MPG problems?
As I think my van drinks fuel when the 650 warning is flashing up
Thanks
Drew
the local diagnostic "specialists" if they might be able to clear the brain fart after siphoning some Adblu out.
