Alpine X802DU 8” Apple CarPlay, Android Auto headunit

Thought I would bring you pictures of the Alpine X802DU in the T6 dash along with the new interface for the MFD and parking sensors....

The interface allows more info on the MFD than say the very popular Pioneer AVIC range.

I have the x801d u so interested in knowing of this unit is faster.
The touchscreen on the 801 is not eBay phone fast which gets annoying and it's a shame I'm missing Android auto.

ohh thats nice, bet thats cheap with all the bits needed for the T6! I do so want to change my 525 and have the buttons doing the correct function, not to mention the mfd display showing what it should.

Yes very tempted by this if they’ve improved the speed of the UI. Is there a button to call up the camera without being in reverse, I can’t tell from Alpine’s page as they don’t have many detailed photos?

This is the most popular headunit we have ever done, great user interface, sound, and features

The Alpine will be the most expensive, again feature packed, big screen and awesome sound plus most features out of them all on the MFD

Completely different unit, the 801 is quite a old unit

Yes you can manually switch camera

It's the same unit just different software and some internal Windows progressing upgrades. Interface is identical. Not sure if I can justify another £1k just for Android auto if the units isn't faster.

It is faster, but understand about the Android Auto feature, but that’s progress

I love the look of these Alpine units and they can well out perform my basic colour unit I have in mine.

All cabled up ok thanks to the advice given by Absolut5, although still unable to work out how to get the Radio Logos to the Unit and displayed on the screen. Have emailed Alpine support, will share if I can work it out. Or even better if anyone has sussed it please post a reply :+)

Can't help with your query I'm afraid, but I would be interested in how you get on with unit, it looks very tempting and there isn't much first-hand info about

please help . I've collected my new van today and have the alpine 802 fitted with tv tuner but can find out how to turn it on... it's not showing in the menu... it was fitted by exploria and looks ace but not been shown how to work things yet due to rushing to get it finished and delivered to me
