Just speccing out my van and came across this thread after visiting Exploria. How are you gettin on with the Alpine? Looks an awesome bit of kit.

Has anyone had experience of Exploria, West Yorkshire?

Thanks for your help earlier @Absolut5.

I did what you advised and after resetthe Alpine X892D-U I still don’t have the source option for Apple car play.

The last option I have is HDMI either DVD or HDMI.

Any thoughts on this one? See attached image

make sure you use a genuine apple lead - they seem to work better, particularly on older leads. I find the non apple leads work fine for a short while then seem to self destruct with intermittent results.

I was hoping it would be so simple as the cable being duff, still no joy though. Used brand new apple. Very confused indeed.

Sounds faulty. Mine (same unit) just cokes to life after a few seconds. Try different phone just to rule that out. Alpine support are quite good.
