Has anyone fitted 19"+ wheels to there van, T6, T5 or T4, had an issue with the gearbox and have or tried to have it fixed through the warranty?

Straight up question. I'm in the process of deciding on wheels and I can only find, albeit very interesting and informative as always here, anecdotal stories of issues. So, first hand un-Chinese-whispered experiences would be invaluable.

Yes I did, ran 19" on my T5 for 3 years then took the van in for DSG gearbox oil change, dealer found something amiss and replaced whole unit by VW under warranty 2 months before 3 years were up. Phew!!! But I did have a T6 on order...maybe that swung it?
