Annual T6f Pilgrimage To Bala Lake 24th - 27th May 2019

Legally it's supposed to be bright yellow as they are only allowed as safety cameras but the Welsh have always done this. The Chief C*nstable is a money grabbing be-atch.

Parking unsafely at the side of the road on a hard shoulder rather than in a lay-by I think may equally be a contravention.

I'm not sure the prosecutions would be enforceable as there are particular rules for the operation of speed traps like being clearly visible etc.

some light reading.

Totally agree but, as it’s a code of practice, there is usually a get-out that will allow chief police officers to interpret to suit, e.g Page 31
“Except in exceptional operational circumstances, devices should normally be operated from positions where they will be clearly visible to the public.”

That used to hang around Llanwrst, seen it several times, not recently though.

I've just been reading through the government's own guidelines, and it states that 'All cameras must be highlighted in Yellow, and a camera vehicle needs to have the standard reflective stripe, indicating it's an official camera operator'

If this was real, it seems a little hypocritical if they expect offenders to abide by the rules and regulations.
Like you said, it's an old story, and I doubt it's something they'd get away with these days one Hope's.

Last year when I left Bala following a 2hr downpour, they were speed trapping on the speed limit leaving Bala. I travel North Wales alot and they are as keen as mustard to nab anybody

Hi, we've just booked a pitch at Bala. A little last minute but our conversion is nearly complete and we can't wait to get out in it! My daughter is beside herself with excitement at getting to sleep in her 'roof bed' for the first time.

Looking forward to meeting everyone; I'll be the bloke scrutinising everyone's body kit (cos our van needs one and I'm completely undecided on what I want) and my wife will be the one eying up interior decoration - please for the love of god, it you have bunting leave it at home; she's obsessed :p.

You can quote all till you’re blue in the face , The N Wales policy is to make driving / riding on the roads a misery using speed cameras. Nice budget supplementer too. It’s a daily bind of cat n mouse for me
What makes it more frustrating, You read of the old being mugged and hard drugs being sold to kids while plods sit on their hands...rant over.. one of the reasons I sold my Strat...

Let’s get back to organising a memorable weekend.... who’s sorting the weather?

I must admit the Welsh Police where not best pleased with me !

And where very very keen to talk to me too, they sent a Helicopter 4 cars 2 vans and 4 dogs just to come and say HELLO to me !
