Hi All

Just wondering if there are any good videos showing how to wire a non isolated B2B from the alternator through to the cab?

I'm a bit confused with the ones I have watched on YouTube as they connect to the battery and not the alternator?

Am I being stupid as the van is a start/stop Euro 6

Any advice would be apreciated

Pick up the +ve from the starter battery via a suitable fuse, come through the grommet in the bulkhead behind the starter battery to wherever the B2B is located. Pick up a body earth stud close to the charger.

Hi Salty,

So I don't need to connect the charger from the alternator with the Victron B2B charger, just wire it from the +ve starter battery?

I thought I needed to connect it to the alternator for the setup?

yup!
Nope!

There’s a huge amount of information on the forum. The search function will be fruitful.

Salty,

Just realised I have been having a Forest Gump moment :p

The alternator is feeding the starter battery, so all I have to do is connect the +ve from the starter battery and that will feed the voltage/amps to the B2B charger!!!

God, the older I get the worse it is....now I know why there isn't any vids of how to wire a B2B to the alternator!!!!

Thank you
