You put the kador strip in the rail and then the figure 8 strip on that to connect the awning. Then when you want to leave you just pull out the figure 8 strip and likewise put it back when you return.
The trick is to have a good system to mark where your wheels are as you put up the awning if you don't want to spend an hour shuffling the van to get lined up again...
I think the Pro has thicker fabric, larger airbeams, and more substantial guy ropes. Also has side door opposite tunnel and zip up curtains opposed to toggle. We've the Pro and very pleased.
Have outdoor revolution cayman canopy with the front and sides which works great down the beach and for the odd night or 2 for a bit of extra shelter.
It's actually really solid when everything is buttoned down but does take about 20-30 mins to put up.
We got a Loopo Breeze® Inflatable Campervan Awning - Blue & Grey with the van I think but I've not even got it out the bag as it's so big and heavy I know it will lead to a divorce. Will be sold before summer for a much smaller model, might get a new awning too.
