Badly describe your job

So this may be a bit of fun:

Badly describe your job/what you do for a living.

I’ll go first…

I drive around South Wales fixing other peoples mistakes, finishing off other peoples work and improving on manufacturers specs of mass produced machines. Oh, I sometimes fix things myself too.

Try to explain for 18 months to supposedly intelligent people, that Brexit means Brexit, means you're gonna have to pay twice for your certificate.

Then have the UK Gov change the rules with no forewarning :speechless:

But not for everything.

Coming up with clever new stuff with my colleagues while teaching some people old stuff, all of them are on the spectrum to varying degrees, some exceptionally clever but also likely to take out the power to the building and burn themselves making a cup of tea.

Cheers

Toby

I am provided with instructions to perform a job and feel blessed that I am told how straight forward the job is before even raising the job card.
Sometimes I am told to perform a "full service" when it is simply "an exercise to stamp the book" so just "do the minimum"!

Shit! Just realised that I've not "badly described my job" at all!

I crush young engineers dreams with a hard dose of reality, and in doing so, prevent my company spending millions bringing some really stupid ideas to market.

On the flip-side, I also enable some very good ideas and help turn them into awesome products.

I organised carbon-based lifeforms to manipulate binary artefacts into cohesive patterns stored on silicon-based entities that accept ill-defined inputs and produce constantly-changing outputs that were specified telepathically by allegedly superior beings who were always right, despite knowing bugger-all.
