@Tourershine really nice looking van buddy, those wheels are worth the dollar.
I can't picture the van without the edition stripe but I personally think it looks good with it and more so are it's a subtle nod to your company.

It clashes slightly with the wheels now.
I thought about having another one put on that match the wheels, but I want to see how I feel with it off altogether.

Banded beauties finally arrived today after a slight delay, and they were shot straight down to the tyre shop within 10 mins of unloading off the couriers van.
I've opted for a full set of 255/45/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 104. These tyres are not cheap, but i've used them before and a good all rounder.
I had to use a set of Tamar spigots, and revert back to the original 19mm bolts, but they bolted on lovely, sit perfectly level with the arches and look the nuts imo.
The wheels were built by Jamie at Duchy Banded wheels. The finish is chrome, and they are staggered 9" and 9.5" The quality of his work is outstanding, and he's doing another set of 17s for my winter wheels.
I'm going to remove the Edition stripe, but that's just a personal thing, but other than that, I am DONE, finished, happy, overjoyed and all the other words that describe satisfaction. I've finally hit my sweet spot, and all it took were the wrong set of wheels, several thousand pounds wasted, and a lot of head scratching. But I myself am one happy chap, and on that note, I don't need you lot anymore, so I'm off

Nah, just kidding, you'd be lost without my wit and 100's of photos of my Team Black van.

Next..... interior.

Finally.....he's a happy bunny....I'll submit my commission charge for Duchy

Looking lovely mate

I agree it would look better without the stripe:thumbsup:

disclaimer:but I would take my advice with a pinch of salt because I did one side of the brake calipers red today and they are going back to silver tomorrow because they look stupid:(

@Tourershine Van looks awesome pal. Those wheels are the nutz.

Thanks mate, it's been a long road as you know, but i'm really chuffed with the look and quality of these wheels.
I know banded steels has been done many times before, but for me it just works. Myself and @T6180 bounce messages back and forth every day about wheels, and they drive us both nuts, but I concluded recently that so many of the Transporter guys have such nice and blingy wheels that they've spent thousands on trying to achieve a 'different' look, that it's actually had an adverse effect and now they all seem to look the same, which is not taking anything away from these guys, but when you go to the shows, and most things are sat on air, and running expensive wheels, it gets repetitive, and then the only thing that stands out will be something like a full on swamper, or something sat on things like banded steels, or even things like Detroit steels, as you will of seen if you know that Yellow T5 with Candy Red steels, it just stands out.

Looks the part buddy! I think the spoiler removal and steels go hand in hand.

What offset did you go for on the front (still trying to gauge how low an offset I can go on my alloy choice)?

Thanks, I agree the rear spoiler removal was needed. I was going to remove the front one, but the wheels are so wide and sit so well, that it's actually made the front splitter make a lot more sense now.

Unfortunately, we don't know the offset because they build these to fit a T5 and T6 knowing exactly where they sit in I assume some sort of jig. All I know is my original 8.5" Alloys were ET45 all round, and although they fitted nice, they did need to come out around 25mm at the rear, and 15mm at the front to achieve the look I now have with the steels. Maybe with that info and the current steel info, you can work out the perfect offset and let us all know.

Nice look @Tourershine , clean and simple, Cal look even, would look nice with a retro basket roof rack on the rear.

I would love a look like that, but never seem to get round to doing anything on my van.

I definitely won't find the perfect offset for all, my ideal setup wouldn't be 'scene' enough for most! :D

The 8.5 ET40's im considering would only be 5mm further out than your alloys were.

Damn you @Tourershine, I need a set of those wheels now :( gonna have to sell my 17s

They do look brilliant, TS. That rear dish is stunning. It's the look that gives the impression to most that modifying isn't that important to you but actually says the opposite. Even the 'bumper car' spoiler works a treat now and has appeared to shrink. Remove the graphics and you're done.

Until you change your mind. :D

Not a T6 but......

Our Amarok 18"s turned up from Duchy Banded Wheels last week, had to wait for over six weeks for the wheels to be shipped in but worth the wait...it took a while to get use to the stance as we went for 9's upfront and 9.5's rear.... Suspension was dropped 50mm from stock but it could do with another 25mm...guess I'll have to save up for AIR:eek::eek:

so im unsure which size tyres to go for 255 45 18 or 235 50 18 ? they will be going on 18" banded amaroks banded to 9" and 9.5 rears. They are going on a T30 so need a minimum rating of 101, any pics of these tyres fitted or any other ideas would be great
