Bike lift for rear e-bike rack

I suspect that Dubber is correct, at least in the first paragraph - tow bar rack and the wrapping in duvets for transport in the caravan. That said, I would also suggest tying them down as a 25Kg bike would do a hell of a lot of damage if it started to move around a lot. If you can't secure them, forget it!

Dubber. Please don't take offence but you don't know the OP or their circumstances etc. A lightweight carbon road bike might suit you and me (actually does in my case) but they don't suit everyone for what could be a whole variety of reasons.

Exactly, I can't think of anything worse than a lightweight carbon road bike. I don't want to ride on tarmac and an EMTB allows me to ride much further and see more, as I wrote before. Different things for different people, no right or wrong.

Despite my little dig, I'm all for e-bikes as it means that more people are getting out and doing something that they perhaps do wouldn't otherwise.

All valid points , I‘ve tried road bikes but they are not for me and as andy’s says an ebike means you can go further faster than conventional bikes.

Exactly that the new sl ebikes only give x2 power and smaller batteries. I wou1ld like to test the new specialised and focus sl bikes to see if the lack of weight makes up for the power loss.
We bought a pair of Levo SLs last month whilst waiting the eternity it takes Shimano to replace their broken motors under warranty. We normally ride a full fat in Eco so the SL seemed like a good choice and I thought I would be riding everywhere in 'Turbo'. These SLs are much better than you expect. The standard Trail mode (it's called Sport on the SL for some reason) is more than enough and you can just leave it in that mode all day. The tiny little motor just sips the battery juice too and I'm getting better range on the SL than I did on a 22kg E8000 bike with a 504Wh battery. The best part is how the motor engages - you don't even notice it, just very smooth and natural feeling.

Sounds interesting although I do use all power modes on a full fat ebike depending on the gradient. So did both bikes need new motors ? If so that is a bit concerning for such an expensive bike.

Just realised it was the e8000 motors that needed replacement! What happened to those as my focus has the same motor?

Torque sensor errors on both bikes. Mine started off with sporadic E010 errors after approx 800 miles which became progressively worse until the W013 error then started to pop up. Each time you would lose any assistance and if you couldn't clear the fault you then had to pedal a 22kg bike back (these are Canyon Spectrals so one of lighter full fat emtbs) with the added bonus of a touch of motor resistance. The second bike packed in a week after dropping mine off for a warranty replacement - this missed out all the fore-play and went straight for an unclearable W013/E010 error. Luckily for us they both failed just before the warranty ran out - new motors are about £900 and as rare as rocking horse poo!

I’ve read they are susceptible to getting wet particularly the battery contacts which is a bit of a problem both using them and washing them afterwards.Hope you get them sorted.

That leads to the E010 and E020 error codes and is fairly easy to sort (never had that problem though). For both of these bikes, the batteries were always removed for transportation (get them below 20kg for the roof rack) and a surgical glove stretched over the contacts so no water or dust could get to them. We actually got both bikes back with new motors just over a week ago now and we now have the dilemma of what to do with them as the Levo SLs we bought during the wait have more power and range than we need and weighing in at 18kg, they just ride so much better than any full fat emtb I've ridden. You get so much more feedback from the trail and can just lift the front end or bunny hop like a normal mtb to get over rocks and roots. You definitely need to ride one to appreciate the difference.
