Camper conversions - No deadening etc.

it's sound deadening it's not just about panel drum/ road noise . Your' ll be trying to sleep with your ear is right next to the outside panel. Anything you can do to keep outside noise away and your Snoring inside plus a 2nd foil barrier to reflect heat away off the foam insulation then the fluffy wool insulation stops / fills the gaps and voids to help stop Condensation Building up behind your panels. with screens over the windows help dampen noise there
worth every penny and it helps keep the van cool or warm as a bonus

just add the cost to your resell bill whats £ 300 if you laying out £37,000 on a conversion ... well £29,600 + VAT lol

its worth 10 times that if it blocks out all them xmas tunes pumping out of your sub woofer lol

Thanks for that. The financial side of it is a no brainer, I was just interested in why most convertors don't bother. Seems like there is no answer to that!

Thanks for that. Agree on the other noises. We have a big motorhome and spend our lives trying to work out the latest rattle/scratch/squeek!
Tell me about it - I have a dash rattle on a 2003 911 - its driving me nuts. I’ve had most of the dash out across several attempts. Currently the A pillar trim is off so I can remove dash windscreen vent. I’ve driven it and the noise has gone so putting pieces back one at a time to see if re-appears! Its gone awol before only to return!!

Next stop is the whole dashboard coming out!!

......or fill it with expanding foam o_O

It was a decent spec, but about £5k more than a very similar quote! The difference at the moment is astonishing for seemingly similar things. And it was a 10 month waiting list; so they must be doing something right I guess......
Yep we have long waiting list also. Can only do so much work. Cheers
