We Seem to have lots of good ideas ..but sometimes hard to find so I’ve started this post for somewhere to share ..General Camping Tips ...
my first offering..

So you may have already seen my own version of a mobile battery box...the new tip is for trying to keep your flagpole controller dry is a small Really useful box with grommets.... the other stuff is a EHU splitter ( caravan guys have always got one ) and extreme tent pegs ..emergency only

also these Storm Straps. . . . with soft straps.

thanks to @Jollyvan for saving our bacon with these at T6F summer camp 2019

they done a cracking job at keeping the gasebo firmly stuck to the floor.

so much so I've gone for a second set this year . . . the green ones.

camping trolley,

weve got the go-outdoors one from the other year . . . last years version grey & yellow . . . YUK !


anyway it folds down small and can carry loads . . .


great for dragging stuff around camp like 50l water buts or washing up to the block . .

weve also used them for days out over the park or at a motor racing event to drag all your stuff about . . camp chairs, beer cooler, rucksacks etc

this one looks similar and rated for 85kg s

thats just reminded me Pete.

more for tent camping, , , , , , , but to stop your clothes from getting wet from either rain or condensation. . . .

Packing items together in seperate plastics bags, then all together in you duffel bag.

ie

pants & socks in one bag
tshirts and polo shirts in another,
jumpers in another,
shorts and tracksuit in another.

then all put in your duffel bag . . .

worked a treat at T6F summer camp 2020 . . .

when the heavens opened at night after a hot sunny day . . . .

we was around the fire fits all evening in the rain . . . . . but got back to a soggy bedroom due to the window vent being clipped up . .

so the rain water just run down the outside of the tent then soaked right through the window mesh onto the bedroom floor . . . .

Edit: I think I need to add that this method also helps preventing your clothes etc from stinking of camp fire smoke... at 2020 forum fest we were down wind of all the fire pits.... everything smelt bonfire..

It was nice to get a fresh set of clothes out that didn't have the fragrance au da burnt pallet wood.

My T6 campervan has cool white LED lights inside which attract insects and bugs especially if I open the door. Just fitted an orange LED light inside as well.
Fantastic, hardly any insects attracted to it so can open door to go outside without every insect from here to Timbuktu flying in.
Especially good if mosquitoes or midges are around. And more restful on the eyes.
