Carpeting Rear Kombi Panels..

This is old thread but looking to see if anyone has a top tip ?

My new van was recently ply lined and carpeted in the loading area.

I then bought 2 x Mini Cargo Nets from Kiravan ( these ones )

The only bummer is that the screws wont go cleanly through the carpet without (understandably) twisting and tugging at the newly lined carpet

Is there any other novel way of affixing to the rear panels / underlying ply ?

Thanks
Cal

Hello cal, drill a small pilot hole first, like a 1 or 2mm drill bit

Can you carpet the panels frist before you put the hidden clips in ?
Yes, as they twist in from the back. Obviously check that all the holes line up and are actually there first!
If you decide to use the thicker ply (6mm) you'll probably need to slightly countersink the front face slightly. The hidden, top section of the clips are not normally long enough to take thicker ply.
In my experience (of doing it all of once...) the hidden clips aren't strong enough to hold the thicker ply if it doesn't want to bend the right way.
