@Pauly I can’t connect to the black BCM plug. It doesn’t give me enough slack to get to the cable. You said plug 25 will already be occupied. Could you tell me the colour of this cable and where it is running to? Maybe I can find a better spot to connect. Thanks in advance for your help.
I'm not sure if the wire is actually there (pin 25) as you didn't have the switch installed at factory.
EDIT: If the wire exists, it can be found at connector T17l (black, 17 pin connector) inside a zipper sleeve by left A-pillar.

Anyways, the wiring diagram - I think you are after switch E150 (page 2/3) - yellow wire -->

Thanks a lot. Is this on the same side for a left hand drive T6, as I happen to live in The Netherlands?

That wiring diagram in the link is the LHD version (option L0L on the title). Also edited my post above re the location of the connector on LHD vehicle.

Hello, my name is Eber and I am from Mexico.

I have a 2018 Left Hand Drive Transport T6 (I think it is the equivalent of Kombi in Europe). It does not have the door lock switch and I also want to put it on.

@Pauly based on your experience, do you think it will work on my vehicle? And if you could tell me what parts I need to buy in addition to:

Switch 7E0962125B
Frame 7E5867255B

I attach some photos of the central locking, thanks in advance.

I guess it would just be the switch and the frame and also the plastic connector plug to connect to the switch ?

Hi,
I will try to do this upgrade shortly for now I’m busy on adding ccs and Mfsw.
I’m on a LHD.
Does what you say means if I find the yellow wire on the black t17 il the zipper, i should not need to go to and wire to t73a ?
I opened my zipper and found a yellow cable in the position 8 of the T17 black plug !!
By the way I accessed this one just by pulling the harness when the door is opened, this is a good news as I should not need to reopen the under dashboard for this upgrade neither add wires on t73 which are not easy to tweak as harness is very short at this place

Yes - that's the wire (slot 8 in 17-pin black connector).

Hi,
So I’m investigating to get this retrofit.
I have a button, found that the plug should be:
1K0972704D ? with 00979009 connectors.
Now going down to t17 black plug in zipper and can’t find which connector to order.
Plug is 4F0972483.
The repair cable has to be added in position 8. I already have the yellow wire coming from bcm on the male side.
Can someone help me to find the connector reference?

T17 door (female side)
As expected no wire in position 8:

T17 male side (inside)
Yellow cable with flat male pin in position 8

Took out the position 6 female pin to see what it looks like

Compared to a 000979009:

Looks like 000979034 but not sure. Is there a way to find this with the plug reference ?
Is there somewhere a list of used connectors on our t6s?
