Hi all. New to these parts. Quick version about where I am.
Tired of working a 9-5 I don't enjoy and at the brink in my relationship. I'm not looking to take the money from the sale of my flat and look to something Id enjoy and make a new life for myself (or I'm having a mid life crisis at 35). No kids but 2 dogs.
Looking to take the £40k from my sale and spend £20k of it on a van including conversion and try a different lifestyle. Plan to try and find alternate sourses of income as well as working as a contractor for a few months a year to fund the travelling I entend in doing.
Want a low top long wheel base t6 with a pop up roof with as much stealth as can be achieved. Worried about parking etc but also want the freedom that comes with a lower van.
Are there many people here who live in a similar set up 80% of their time? I'd love some advice. I'd get a David Lloyd membership or similar when in the UK for easy shower and gym access and try and see as much of our country as possible in my first year before starting to venture further afield.
In terms of the build I'd like it to all be run off deisel and electric to save space and hassle. Do deisel heating/ cooking set ups save much space vs a gas alternative?
Thanks in advance
