Hi

Has anyone completely de badged a barn door even the vw badge and had it filled and painted for a completely clean look? Be keen to see some pics as thinking of doing it to mine

Pretty sure there's a van in this month's issue of VWt that had just this mod. In the reader's van section IIRC.

Does the recess just get clagged up or metal welded in?

If you want it done right you’d weld a circle of metal into the recess, not sure that’s always being done though!

you need to weld a plate in. if you just add filler it will sink eventually and look a general mess.
