DA Polisher

Practise first, find a cheap panel at the local scrappy. When I first started I used my shiny new fixed head polisher on my bro’s brand new RR Sport, I managed to go through to the metal on his wheel arch in about 15 seconds, don’t make the same mistake.

Life’s too short for multiple stages of correction, so I use this all-in-one - Rupes Uno Protect

This pad - Chemical Guys White Hex Logic Quantum Light Polishing Pad I use these, really good pads and very easy to clean post polishing

This as a last step to clean up and finish off any dust, finger prints etc Chemical Guys Hybrid V7

And a lorry load of microfibre cloths.

I got my MF clothes from Amazon - MF clothes x 6

It’s so easy to work with, I did my wife’s Q5 from top to bottom in less than 90 minutes and the results on her black car were

Ah, sure I’ve been doing that for decades. It goes everywhere and there are still visible swirls!

Looks more like crayon than scratches, try a good tar remover first.

General rule of thumb is that if you can ‘catch’ the scratch with your nail then it’s probably too deep for correction, but you could reduce the scratches from certain angles.
