Devonport / Davenport alloy wheels

you can often pick them up with nearly new tyres for less than the cost of new tyres for the claytons making the alloy upgrade effectively free.

This is both a ridiculous and brilliant point at the same time. If you need new tyres for your 16" it's a no brainer. Even if you already have 17's, it could still be cheaper to get a new set of wheels.

I have seen a few people talking about spacers, is it ' normal ' to have 25 on the back and less on the front ?

Yes. The front wheels sit further out/ the body is narrower, so the rears need more spacing to look the same.

Update. Bought a set of Wolfrace17s with 235 Grabbers and they are fantastic

Fill the arches perfectly and give the more rugged look I was looking for

Wasn’t really looking for them they just turned up on marketplace locally at a good price

Thanks for all the advice

Is anyone able to confirm if 25mm spacers will fit on the front? I ordered a pair of 20mm ones but been sent 25mm instead. Trying to decide to keep them or send them back. Van is standard height, may possibly be dropped a bit in the future but not by much.

Is this with standard wheels or the Devonports ? Before I fitted my new wheels I did some very careful measuring and I think that a 25 mm on the front would be right on the limit with my standard wheels on 205 tyres so someone had recommended me to use 23 I think and I think they were right Having said that also 25 mm is only 2 mm bigger than the 23 so in my logic they would be fine but probably right on the limit My new wheels look great but the front are further out than the rear for sure as standard

I think the 25 mm may well be a bit too much but if you are keeping the rears why not try one on the front and then return the other set if they are too big ? Personally I do think that the 20F and 25R would be the way to go especially if the wheels have the wider tyres that used to be fitted to them My 17s have 235 tyres and I have no spacers and they fill the arches really well now

Yeah the wife has Springfield alloys on hers and will be selling these as she wants new wheels . So I think she has had a set of the Davenport wheels and she had a set on for a week or 2 and like them. But she is moving back to 18s but she did say that the caravelle ran good enough with the 17s. I think she has about 8 sets of wheels at the last count. She’s not into handbags, shoes, or shopping. Ha ha ha ha
If you're selling any let me know please. interested in buying some
