Did you buy the “low” version - the only difference is they are shorter/lower where they connect to the van and avoid most of the problems you describe.
Connecting to the van and then inflating and pegging out is the recommended way to go.
Yep, coild be you were pegged too close to the van. I also sometime struggle to get taught ends on the tunnel when pitched on uneven ground. Thanks for the reply @Davenjo I did get the low version. Maybe I didn’t have the base of the awning far enough away from the van and with only pegging the guy line out on one side I might have pulled the awning over.
Will try again next weekend when we’re away.
Let us know how you get on with your second attempt.
If you’ve left the camera charger inside the awning dont worry, its not as bad as us rolling the Galli up with a broom inside it, which brokeEnjoy!!
My lad left his rucksack in there..would it go back into the bag... would it heck.If you’ve left the camera charger inside the awning dont worry, its not as bad as us rolling the Galli up with a broom inside it, which broke
We’ve ended up slicing the bag down the zip, so we can get the rolled tent in (using couple of storm straps around the tent roll) then clipping the clips across, sort of works,,,
Question,,,, I wonder if anyone from Galli reads the forum for feedback purposes?
If so, how about a bag that fits!
Yes that’s what I do. Easier to manoeuvre into positionWe've just got ourselves a vango galli 3 compact and I have a set up question for any galli experts out there....
For the set up do I .....
put down the footprint ( not pegged ) , insert kador into van awning rail whilst trying to keep the awning on the footprint , blow up awning , get it in position then peg out footprint and peg out the awning ?
