Mines the 110 5 speed so similar. I’ll deffo do this when I take floor up to run the electricsMore soundproofing up front - complete floor, scuttle and adding closed cell foam to the wheel arch liners.
I find the noise in the cab at motorway speeds a real nuisance. Mine is a full camper conversion powered by the 102bhp tuned engine with 5 speed gearbox though so it’s working hard.
Hey Dude...Climair wind deflectors. Nice to open the windows and not have rain pissing in or that wumpwumpwump sound.
The screw is a non event and what makes them secure. I’d definitely buy them again. But won’t need to as they don’t fall off like some others. And don’t cause issues with the electric windows.Hey Dude...
Climair or Heko? I prefer the idea of not drilling a hole?
I’ll second that. The screw is a non event and what makes them secure. I’d definitely buy them again. But won’t need to as they don’t fall off like some others. And don’t cause issues with the electric windows.
I’ll third it. It’s one tiny screw into the plastic part by the mirror. A bit of black silicon or something would disguise it well if you ever took them off (not sure why you would though as they’re very useful).I’ll second that.
I’ve had both and wouldn’t consider the heko again. Climair is far superior.Hey Dude...

Were yours the black ones? I’ve always wondered if they impact visibility. Especially, as you say, given the already huge blind spot caused by the A pillar. It can already easily hide a car if one doesn’t move their head to look round it.Personally I wouldn't have either/any. Tried them when I first got the van, realised that we hardly ever drive with the windows open thanks to the aircon. But worst of all, I found that they made the already large blind spot created by the A pillar much much worse. I took them off.
just my opinion based on experience.
Mine were the Heko grey tinted ones. Not black. They just made a bad situation worse & tbh brought little if any benefit. They seemed to be more a fashion accessory rather than a solution to a problem that didn’t exist. Were yours the black ones? I’ve always wondered if they impact visibility. Mine are the smoke and have no impact as they are only very, very lightly tinted when looking from the inside. I use mine primarily for leaving the windows ajar when parked on a hot day or when camping. Work great for that.
