7.4 litres on a CXHA with filter change
Dunno where the missing 1.5 Litres is hiding?! The dipstick must be correct, as the low oil warning comes on as expected exactly on the bottom line.

I used to get 7.5 Litres out of my T5 2.5 5 cyl, and 8 Litres back in, every service for 12 years.

Yes, so the CXHA can be 6.4 or 7.4 L then? I assume I have a 6.4L, and with a bit of manufacturing tolerances, and that I didn't fill it right to the very top of the high mark (due to the well documented over fill issues), a 6L fill becomes more plausible.
And relax......

Everybody at VW will have an Objective to reduce costs and it all adds up

The engines for T6.1 are obviously configured differently - got curious because quite some time ago at VW when they started to struggle with "over fill issue" they mentioned that oil capacity in T6.1 engines is less than it was on T6.

Did just some checks -
The oil sump and oil level sensor are the same part number for CXFA/CXHA both on T6 and T6.1.
However, oil dip stick and the tube for oil dip stick are different for CXFA/CXHA on T6 and T6.1. Actually these are on T6.1 exactly the same parts on T6 with oil capacity of 6.4 litres.

Certainly it would have been easier to check the actual guide Maintenance Transporter 2020 >

Actually, why I went the path of part numbers is because I had a priviledge for a week to mess around with a T6.1 with CXFA engine - which indeed reports (VCDS data) "oil warning threshold" level approx. 20 mm less than what CXFA engine installed on T6 reports (some more below).

Is there an updated maintenance manual available for the 6.1 (2020->)?
My van has the 7MM PR code on the options label so it is 7.4 litres oil fill.
I also noticed in the 2016-> maintenance manual that the cambelt change for a non dusty country (which the manual goes on to confirm the UK is not) is 200,000km or 124,274miles

That is big debate discussed in this long thread:

So, in summary T6.1 holds 6.4L then?

Yes, actually two.

I guess it depends... on model year/engine type/emission class/market area. So far there are 10 different variations of diesel engines installed on T6.1.
