Fitting kit for RIB Neptune 60

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a fitting kit for a Neptune 60?

I took delivery of two today from Banwy who have phenomenal customer service by the way!

But the seats don’t come with a fitting kit, and I can find very limited info on the fitting kit required on the good old World Wide Web?

Kind regards

I suspect your best bet is to use some box section steel running front to back or across for each support. Alternatively book a sneaky visit to Bilbo's in Surrey and have a look underneath a Nexa or Lezan conversion to see what they use. Scopema (Rib manufacturer) do a fitting kit for the T5 apparently so should fit but i think you need to speak direct with Scopema

Can’t believe Scopema do not provide a fitting kit!

Kiravans do one for the Altair.

I emailed Bilbos as they are reasonably local to me. But they only do full conversions.

I just figured on buying these seats that there would be a dedicated crash tested fitting kit available.

Quite bizarre.

So nowI have some great seats that I can’t use

Scopema sell it seperately, kiravans stopped there one I think when they stopped selling the seats

So I am hoping Banwy will be able to get one. They list one on the Banwy website.

I forwarded the link to Scopema and asked if it would be suitable. They replied stating they did not manufacture it.

The joke is I am not going to install it myself. I want it professionally fitted. It’s just a few companies I have emailed have fitted RIB rock n roll beds. But not the single seat Neptune.

I would pretty much go anywhere in the UK to get the seats installed. If only I could find an installer.

Ethan,

Did you ever manage to track down a fixing kit for your RIB Neptune seats? I am in the same position as you and need some for the seats I have arriving shortly.

Did you get your seats in?

My Neptune 60s arrived last week and currently looking at fitting options.

Martin,

Did you get your seats from Banwy? I ordered from them back in March, but still no news of delivery. If yours did come from them, I will chase mine up.

So no not fitted them, but have bought a fixing kit. I got it from Jerba Campervans. They are fitting a pop top to my van and sold me the seat kit as they didn't have capacity to fit seats for me. I don't think they usually sell the kit, but you could try them.

It is a very beefy kit they have designed and had fabricated.

Chris,

Yeah, I got them through Banwy, ordered them in January.

I was looking at Jerba to fit a pop top too but the waiting time was so long I started with the rest and thinking of self fitting a remio roof.

I cant see jerba selling just the kit so I will try and fabricate my own. Could you PM me a picture of the kit, , understand it you would rather not but as it is their product.

Cheers
Martin

Martin,

Happy to let you have details of the kit. I'm back at home (Bristol), on 3rd July. When I can take some measurements and photos. I'm currently in Scotland, as Jerba doing my roof conversion for me next week.

Whereabouts are you?

Great thank you.

I am over in Northern Ireland, only a very small number of converters over hear, none doing the RiNeptune 60s, thought I had one lined up but it fell through.

Hi all, I have a couple of Neptune 3p60s to fit next month. Would any of you be able to share some pictures of the fittings under the floor please?
Thanks
Matt

Hi everyone,

I had my seats fitted by VW-T in Henfield, West Sussex.

I couldn’t buy the fitting kit. And in some ways J am glad I didn’t attempt it myself.

The seats are very heavy. And fitting them structurally needs to be done professionally.

VW-T made my brackets to fit where I wanted the seats.

You can’t actually see them from underneath as the plastic covers under the van hide the fixings being visible.

And of course it wasn’t just a case of being able to get the seats fitted. I had to also have an CNC cut new structural wooden floor fitted prior to the seat installation. Fortunately this was all done by VW-T

From memory the cost of this was £1200 back in early 2020.

But I am pleased with the results.

If you are using these Neptune seats as I am, the front seats will form part of the bed. To do this you need foam wedges to go on the front seats to level them out. I have a spare set FOC if anyone wants them?

Message me if you do. I would appreciate anyone who wants them covering postage, which shouldn' be much as they are very light.
