Flooring batten width

Hi sorry to ask about your floor was your top coat the 7 mm insulation dodo so that means you did a 7mm ontop of the ridges 9 mm ply then did you add a top sheet say 2mm altro
That’s adds to 18mm did that all fit under the side step deep and the rear threshold?
Also you said you screwed it down was that just through the top board through the dodo layer then into the battens ?
If so did you find the dodo layer compress much
Any other pictures would be helpful pls
Any issues fitting step or threshold lashing points afterwards cheers
Yes, exactly as you describe and it fits perfectly under the deeper steps and rear threshold.
Screwed into the batons, not through the floor.
Lashing points require longer bolts readily available from screwfix.
The 7mm does compress, but after 2 1/2 years it hasn’t compressed any more to a point where there is a gap under the side step. I think all the compression occurs when the weight of the ply and Altro is placed onto it.
In all honesty I don’t know if there’s much benefit. The floor is always pretty cold when the weather is cold.

Thanks a lot very helpful think I still would like to put the insulation I’m glad it works it’s my next job after my poptop which is being fitted as we talk
One other question marine ply or just normal pls

I used normal ply. It’s not going to get wet sandwiched between insulation and a one piece layer of Altro.
I also used the new Altro that has small bumps on the back and is made to be stuck down with double sided tape. Was much easier than contact adhesive-it’s not moved in 2 1/2 years.

Just wondering folks is the floor layout on the LWB 6.1 is the same as the t6, Im guessing its likely the same. and just to confirm its batons 9mm and ply floor 12mm, Is that correct? do you guys recommend treating the floor batons and the subfloor with a water proofing and mold prevention, or is this over kill

I was gonna order the kit but given I've got all the tools (inc a table saw, which def helps) & some time I just bought a sheet & did it.
Meant I could plan it myself & could do the smaller fiddly bits too, although it did take quite a while to do & the van floor now has little numbered rectangles with sizes drawn all over it with a sharpie.
I also used the cut optimiser; excellent online tool.
I think that the kit is reasonably priced, given the time it took me, but only if it isn't "skimpy".

I can provide a list and cutting plan (pdf) for a LWB Kombi if anyone is interested.
Hi I would hugely appreciate the wood dimensions and PDF download. I Need to.cut the buttons for mine

We would use 6mm packers as the adhesive will take up any variances in the floor ridges. We supply and fot these to the 12mm floors we sell here cheers

Hi @Bigsidavies sorry to revive an old thread, just wondering what the deeper step and threshold you used were please? I’m going to follow your advice and go with a 9mm ply floor on top of my 9mm battens and dodo deadn duo pro (7mm). Struggling to make much sense of all the step depths!

Not sure but it was just a generic one from the likes of veedubtransporters or similar. I'll measure the depth tomorrow.

Edit. Just found my original purchase. It was extra deep kombi sliding door step from Vanstyle.
