Fuse repeatedly blowing

Afternoon all.

A week back I noticed the 12v ciggie charger in the dash had stopped working. Just removed the passenger seat and found the 20 fuse under there had blown. Changed it. Worked for a bit and then blew again. Is there anyway of working out what is causing it ? Does anyone know if this fuse is only covering the 12v chargers?
Not had any work done on the van for months. The only thing I had was some 2x4 lengths which were pushed up under the rear seats through to the cabin and wonder if have dislodged something.
Any thoughts anyone? Or do I need to head to main stealer? Had a look at the back of socket and can’t see any obvious damage.

whats plugged into the socket?

do you have 2 12v outlets?

do you have the factory leisure battery?

Thanks both. Yes - have been going over those diagrams but couldn’t work out ! Maybe I’ll have another read. 2 x 12v sockets. One by the gear lever and one on the top dash. No leisure battery. Just thinking though you may have a point that the offending item maybe the usb charger- will try another. Seems obvious you say that now!

Sometimes just talking it through helps, if that solve the issue then all good

I've had issues with some 12v type plugs where they can twist in the socket and the tip short both terminals in the socket.

But if you have the top dash then both of those would normally be supplied from SH6 - which is the fuse in your picture.

If you have a multimeter a check you could do is to remove everything from both 12v sockets and also remove the fuse. If you measure the resistance between the two terminals in the socket it should be very very high, if you get a reading then there is potentially a short in the wiring.

But my money is on the fault being in what you plug in either directly or because it's moving in the socket.

Thanks Roadtripper. Yep - so far so good. Hadn’t blown while not plugging the usb charger in. Think you could be right where is been banged or pulled and is shorting out.
