Ghost puncture

Lwb T28, standard suspension, upgraded T30 brakes fitted with Rhino17” wearing Grabbers with very good tread. Driving normally on known road, and odd noise, but steering not affected, slightly less drive = puncture in offside front.
Pulled over called Green Flag, who, to their credit, arrived 25 minutes early. Took wheel off, pumped it up to 45 psi and, in the absence of an obvious nail, bolt etc, sprayed rubber, rim and valve, aaaaaand, NOTHING. Put wheel back on, test drove it on a nearby track, hitting all potholes. Still maintained pressure, and still is, 12 hours and 50+ miles later. Anyone any ideas?

I had a puncture like this a year back...lost some pressure but then held and was ok to drive....took it to tyre fitters and they dipped it in a tank and found nothing....still not holding full pressure so i took it off and put slightly more pressure in than was required and dipped it in a large water tank and found a small black nail right next to a knobly bit of tread...impossible to see and only very few feint bubbles.I guess when it lost a bit of pressure it almosy sealed itself, especailly with the weight of the vehicle on it.
