Gloss black grille: badge doesn’t fit

Hi,

I’m hoping for some advice and direction please.

I’ve changed my front bumper to gloss black trims and I cannot for the life of me get the gloss black badge to clip in.

I’ve tried it with the bumper on and off as well as having the grill detached. Still with no luck. I have broken the little trim clips on 3 badges now.

I have ordered a new one which will be here tomorrow but I’m hoping someone might have some pointers as I cannot keep going through badges!

My Travelin-Lite badge is the same. Brute force and pure ignorance seems to have been the answer for me, so I’ll be keen to read how anyone else resolves it!

Yeah that’s where my badge is from
(Not the grille) My matte one that was used on my standard grill was perfect. I’ve from there again so lets see how this one goes. I’ve got a different grille coming as well so hopefully this will do the trick.
I’m trying to avoid bonding it on if I can.

I bought both the gloss grill and badges from travelinlite. They didn't fit until I enlarged the holes with a sharp blade. Now fits neatly. Easier if you put the badge on the grill first. As you can see from behind which ones don't line up properly

So did you just use a stanley knife to make the outside 2 slots of the slotted sections slightly bigger? (If that makes sense)

Well the badge has arrived. Let’s see if I can make these holes any bigger. The ones on the original grille are definitely a wider hole
