Did the MFSW buttons all transfer over ok? The volume buttons look different but the main cluster looks the same?I did it on mine although I don’t have ACC. The DSG paddles and CC work perfectly.

Worked on mine with a small change to one of the wires .Did the MFSW buttons all transfer over ok? The volume buttons look different but the main cluster looks the same?
Ok great, I have golf mfsw buttons now. I’ll just swap the airbag cover over to t6 squib. All the buttons looks the same layout apart from I don’t have adaptive CC. What wire did you have to modify?Worked on mine with a small change to one of the wires .
Hi Pauly,Yes T6 bag will fit that one
The two hooks are the part that retains the airbag

The airbags are completely different its not just a coverHi Pauly,
Will the t6 air bag fit the mk 7 golf wheel? I mean if I took the t6 air bag cover off and swapped it for the MK7 round cover?
Also if the button layout is the same will the buttons work or need coding? I have none active cruise control so I have found the mk 7 ones with the same layout as my t6.
Thanks
Hi, so your buttons worked straight away no coding as they are the same layout?I did it on mine although I don’t have ACC. The DSG paddles and CC work perfectly.

Ah ok, thanks for that info. There’s a company that do the buttons for my model T6 that work straight out the box but they want £350 for them The airbags are completely different its not just a cover
Only buttons from a compatible vehicle will work so depending on what vehicle they are from and what model you are putting it on will be the factors that answer that, button layout is only part of it as different models talk different languages so not all interchangeable !
Yep same layout, worked with no issues at all and no rewiring either.Hi, so your buttons worked straight away no coding as they are the same layout?
That’s good to know! We’re they straight out of a golf? There’s a company that want £350 for the buttons that they advertise as working with a t6. Or Ali express for £150 lol which is probably where they get them fromYep same layout, worked with no issues at all and no rewiring either.
There's no buttons from a mk7 Golf which will go straight in to a T6, you need to transfer your old buttons to the new wheel or source some which are EXACTLY the same as you'd find in a T6.That’s good to know! Yes that’s what I mean. Would the same button layout as from my t6 but from a mk7 work? There's no buttons from a mk7 Golf which will go straight in to a T6, you need to transfer your old buttons to the new wheel or source some which are EXACTLY the same as you'd find in a T6.
This is the button layout I need in terms of cruise control, none acc. But the mk7 button form is what I need. So if I buy the buttons that fit the mk 7 steering wheel with this layout it should work hopefullyView attachment 207719
This is the layout you need, the only difference could be the ACC distance button in the centre of the CC cluster, if your vehicle is so equipped, however if you've got ACC you've already got everything you need button wise.
That’s good to know. Were the buttons from a golf or polo? As apparently people are saying the polo GTII MFSW buttons are the correct ones to get?Yep same layout, worked with no issues at all and no rewiring either.
