H4 swap for H7

Yes i think they will be releasing them soon, im sure they will be a popular upgrade given the slightly underwhelming performance of the standard headlights

Do they need some kind of CE approval before ready for commercial sale?

Yes Andy was on here the other day looking for volunteers for vans to test on in return for a discount. Think £500 ish was mentioned if I recall correctly. I think they're basically H7s with LED DRLs. They are using the distinct "dot" LEDs rather than the bar ones though which maybe dates them a little bit?

I might have got the wrong end of the stick but I thought he told me they were H7s with LED DRLs. We need some clarification from Andy, but I've forgotten his name on here

Hey guys,

I've noticed a few H7 style headlights on ebay and currently have H4's.

Is it possible to straight swap them without much hassle?

Cheers
Paul

Has anyone heard anymore about these from transporter HQ?

Winter is coming so it won't be long until 50% of the threads on here are about rubbish H4s :)

I'm also not a fan of the dotted LED's. Besides, this upgrade is to fix the 'tealight' issue, not issues with DRL's. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to resist upgrading as the standard H4's are by far the worst headlights I've ever had on a vehicle. I can't understand how they can even be legal! But I wouldn't upgrade to ones with dotted DRL's, especially not if I'll be spending over £2k!! @Pauly, is your kit solid LED's, out of interest?
