Has anybody got a Wolfbox dashcam?

Im just fitting one in mine. Need to get the hardwire kit and rear camera fitted. Find it quite distracting when its showing front camera but back camera will be really handy while drivinv i think. 20241113_155823.jpg

I agree with T6Norfolk; having the front view camera showing is a bit off putting. It took me a couple of days to get used to the rear view as well, but fine now.

It’s a great bit of kit! A normal rear view mirror is useless in a converted van but the rear camera works well as an alternative. Also peace of mind having front and rear recorded. Unfortunately, I can’t give you any tips on fitting as I had the van with it already fitted but should be plenty of info on the forums.

I already have a factory reverse camera.
In all the videos I've seen the rear cams are being fitted under registration plate.

My current rear dashcam is fitted just above the rear wiper housing on the window. Where's yours fitted? Thanks

Yes, I’ve done a review on here about how to fit one. Absolute game changer in my mind.

When you say fitted the camera above the rear wiper housing on the window is that on the inside. That would be handy because it stays clean and the rear screen could be given a wipe with the wiper. Always a clear view!

Stuck with a adhesive pad. Inside. It's stuck where wiper cleans surface. Pointless placing it wiper doesn't clean. I'm not sure why some put theirs near registration plate. Surely you have to drill a hole?

I agree inside is the best place for cameras. I am considering having cameras, multiple, to improve visibility around the vehicle and still looking for a solution. I want something similar to yours mounted inside rear window using wiper to keep window clear. A front facing camera and one for each side mirrors. Possibly using multiple small screens. I have seen many including truck systems. Maybe I shall adopt a compromise. I tend to over think things and do nothing in the end. :D

Hmm just checked. My rear is not in an area where the rear wiper reaches. The most common place is towards the top of tail gate. You have to drill a 8.5mm hole then paint edges then fit a grommet. It has to be where the wiper can clean glass where camera is pointing.
I'm liking the Wolfbox G900Pro as I've installed sliding seats in my van. The mirror view will enable me to see what's behind me. I prefer to see what my camera is recording. The factory mirror doesn't do much otherwise.
I'm scrolling through Internet to see where owners of T6.1 have installed their rear camera plus if they have an adaptor for mirror rather than strapping it to factory mirror.

Your Wolfbox G900Pro, does it give a good image behind the vehicle, is it very useful in this respect? Is it better than the rear view mirror when reversing? I have seen advertisements but you the first I have spoken to.

This can't be for me. My dashcam is a MyDean. I'm thinking of changing to a Wolfbox G900Pro.

Does the position of the factory mirror assembly box on the windscreen obsecure the clipped on dashcam mirror?

No it fits on fine. It’s clipped over the original mirror and sits well with enough room for the forward facing camera. It’s not much bigger than the actual mirror so not issues with clearance etc. I believe there’s a kit you can buy that lets you fit it with out using the existing mirror, but sounds like a faff.

I'd be interested on finding that kit
