Wolfbox G900 Dash and rear view camera

I did too watched the video a couple of times then followed it live. Was actually very simple in the end. I seem to remember the guy had the same model as me and all the fuses matched which was good. I had the official hardwire kit which was slightly different but the principle was the same.

Thanks again for sharing, I’ve watch both videos and I’m a lot more confident now. Did you run a voltmeter on your fuses or go with the video, I think they are the same in practice although I have a few more fuses than you guys have. Thanks again,

Hi All,

After a little more help if possible .

Okay have wired into the firebox, see attached. I have power so that’s a good thing. Just need to start up.

Should the Wolfbox go off when the ignition is off, I understand that there is constant power but the screen remains on, surely this must go off, I suspect the battery will go flat otherwise

Thanks Andy

Sorry guys a little hasty with the post. I’ve turned the Wolfbox off underneath. Then engaged the ignition it then starts up and goes off. I believe when the gps sensor is fitted it activates should the van get hit with no one in it. Thanks again.

I haven't fitted the GPS sensor but I think I had the same but once its set up it works fine.

A quick message of thanks, everything now installed and looks great. A little tight with the rear camera cable supplied was a just fit but works perfectly.

Thanks "nonumb" for your advice much appreciated.

hi guys, watching the install videos from thescottishsurfer he had to pull and cut away a bunch of his carpeting to install the rear cam - that puts me off and was wondering if this necessary for you ?

Depends on path and panel construction. I've identified a roundabout way behind my kitchen that allows minimal removal of carpets, this depends on whether your panels are covered by one piece carpet or carpeted individually.

Users of the G900.. I’ve currently got mine plugged into the 12v socket on the dash and it doesn’t switch off, even hours after locking the van. I assume the camera has an inbuilt battery? I just want to make sure it’s not draining the vehicle battery!

Not sure sorry but plug a phone in and see. I think mine is on the T6. Honestly though the hardwire kit is so easy it's definitely worth doing!
