Help for first time install

Hi All, first time posting a thread. I've bought a 2013 T5.1. I've read up a lot of the forums about electrics and want to install a leisure battery myself under the drivers seat (I know this has been covered loads!)
BUT.....loads of conflicting advice and opinions and some how to guides that appear good are not according to others!
-Is there a top guide to fitting the the leisure battery and in particular where to route the cables safely from bulkhead to drivers seat?
-vehicle is not stop start. Is there any advantage (bearing in mind cost) to having B2b over VSR? I do plan to add solar in future.
-lastly as an additional source, I'm interested in a portable lithium battery pack. Are any recommended by the majority on here?
Many thanks to anybody willing to point me in the right direction.

Thank you I have looked and could only see DC-DC rather than any VSR, so thought I'd ask the question here.

There IS some very helpful fitting instructions on @travelvolts website here;

Ok it's not for VSR, but why does that matter?

And loads of general advice in the electrical section stickys. It really is worth reading through, and then you'll have some more specific questions you can ask here.

On the VSR vs B2B I can think of the following;
  1. B2B will be able to charge LIFPO4 batteries if you ever upgrade, VSR cannot.
  2. B2B will always put the optimum charge into the LB, extending it's life, VSR will not
  3. Cabling for B2B can often be smaller than VSR as B2B will compensate for volt drop. This may make your cable run easier.
If you want B2B and are trying to keep costs down, you can grab a 10% off code (below) and get the DCC30S for £144, this will get you the above advantages AND take in a solar panel in future (limited to about 160W solar)

Thank you for linking that guide, it's what I was after.
I think I need to research B2B a little more as you suggest. That price seems more reasonable than some I've seen advertised. I appreciate you generally get what you pay for with anything, it's just trying to justify the extra cost. Being able to take the solar panel direct is a big advantage as it would appear to me!
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
