Greetings, I have a 24v output led work lamp, it is an XQ1280s.

I have lost the adapter.

On the back it just says ‘24v dc’

The manual I found online says input 1.5a.

Does anyone have any idea what charger I could use? I assume I need at least 1.5a but not sure if it will charge with 12v or if it needs 1.5a 24v?

Thanks!

I’ve just found a 12v 5amp power brick and plugged it in, it is charging.

Is the fact it outputs 24v an issue? Or can the 12v supply charge it?

Ampage onviously isnt an issue as I assume the lamp only draws 1.5a to charge.

Trying to save the lamp for landfill - its way too good to throw.

Thanks!

according to mr google:

It has a built in charge regulator so no special power supply is required. It will take anything from 12 to 24v DC. I'd pick up a generic 12v power supply. Just search "1A CCTV Power Supply". CCTV supplies are always 12V and have the right sized tip Just make sure it's 1A (1000mA) or higher. *Source - Ex Maplin Store Manager :) (Tech specs in case you're interested. Input: 12-24VDC 1000mA min @ 12V, 500ma min @24V. Tip size 5.5mm outer diameter, 2.1mm inner diameter, centre positive.). Would be a shame to throw it out as the build quality is very good.

Perfect thanks, didn’t see that :)

The charger I am using from my desk lamp is 12v 5a, DC centre positive. Its still charging it would appear and the power brick is not hot, so fingers crossed!
