Hi! New joiner from Kent

I’ve got a kombi bed that works with the kombi seats. You can remove sections to give you loads of flexibility. Murray was really helpful and had developed the perfect product for my needs

So I got the van before Christmas, struggled with the dashboard light coming on right away, VW assist said its a emissions warning, code p0401. Dealer told me to drive it a fair distance on the motorway to force it to regen and clear out the filter, but it didnt work. They have taken it back today and gave me a lovely loaner, and intended on forcing a regen but are now replacing a pipe in that area. They have been very forthright and polite, I am pleased for the help although i could bitch and moan about being sold a 2017 they shouldve looked over a bit more carefully, but we will get there!

I hope to put a bed in the back, prefer a removable one if there is such a thing. I need to put dogs, bikes and music stuff in there too. (Not at the same time) I have to say I have wanted a nice van my entire life and have bought car after car not being satisfied.. I feel content finally.
Met a guy today who had a bed in his and a leisure battery.. I think i need to look at how to best design this..
Hello and welcome pal here’s a really cheap option for a removable bed £99.00 Bed That Fits A Swb Kombi Perfectly

Hi All,

Picked up my first ever Volkswagen last week, an 18 reg Silver Kombi.
Very impressed, however, sliding windows started leaking in yesterdays rain  back to the dealers on Friday :(
However, the wife is looking forward to summer and some impromptu camping at festivals.

Quick update,
Van went back to dealers and windows fixed. I went overseas working and when I returned 4 weeks later the van would not start. Less than 5 volts left! Charged up and running OK but I would have expected the battery to last longer.
During this time the van was parked on my driveway and some **** nicked my alloy spare wheel. Now have a steel replacement.
Big thanks to Jamie at JCB Sittingbourne for excellent customer service during the purchase and the follow up.

Hi @Brew just check your battery is not a "Moll" make, there is loads on here about faulty batteries by that make. If it is contact VW and they should swap it to another make as it is a know fault.

I also use a small solar trickle charger on my dash as mine sits all week unused and only goes out at weekends. Mine was on a cheap £15 one from Maplin before they went bust.

Been looking for something like this too @Nigel W as our camper only gets used at weekends, so just ordered one. Thanks for the recommendation and link! Andy
