How do you know if your VW has Hill Assist

It's there.

You may not have noticed it, or it may not have engaged. Took me a while to understand it, not having experienced it before.

Find a safe slope and try it. Brake and clutch, no handbrake, then foot off brake and see what happens!

You can alter the hold duration and maybe turn it on/off with Carista.

Maybe it's stopped working... It'd be obvious if it was working. With the footbreak pressed and clutch in then lifting foot off break and not immediately rolling back on an incline above 5 deg...
