I Need To Know What I Didn't Know I Needed Because I Know I Don't Know Now What I'll Need. You Know?

Don't forget your Flagpole, flags and of course the best magic LED's you can find.
Haha.... see you thought you had me there but there is definitrely a flagpole in the garden store from track days!

But best stock up on LED's. In refuse to donate any from the mancave....

How long is the hook up lead? Ours came with a 10m which is nowhere near enough on about half the sites we've been too.

Got an additional 15m lead, needed both at one site.

Mozzy coils and citronella candle for the summer.

Torches etc. Good idea to have a small one in the front ready for when you pull up in the dark.

USB leads etc. Keep a full set in the van, so you don't forget.

Bungees always useful.

S hooks, we have some plastic and some steel with rounded ends, keep finding uses for them.

Couple of clothes pegs always handy.

Tape: gaffer, duck, repair tape.

Rubber nonslip table mat, we got a metre of some holey stuff, thicker version of the stuff you use in cupboards, and cut to size. Great when parked on a slope.

Tea towels / bar towels. For drying up, mopping up, stuffing in corners to stop rattles.

First aid kit.

Slippers. Seriously! Or big socks.

Fold down bowl is always useful.

Sure there is some more but that should do for now

I have found this little gadget very useful when your kettle won’t boil/ leisure battery won’t charge when on hook up and after ripping the camper apart only to find it’s the hook up bollard that knackered.
with this you just tap the cable/box and it tells you if it is live or not.

Asterix has told me, that you do not have nearly enough beer and what do you think that you will be drinking while he sucks that little lot up. If you are thinking of entertaining Obelix, he only drinks by the bath tub full. So more entertainments will need to be laid on and that will be fighting "Romans" again, bosh bash.:grin bounce::uh run:
Bonus points for the reference, surely!

Gary I can guarantee that in six months time you'll have decided that the 'van-full-of-carp-we-never-use' needs a serious rationalising cos you cant see out the back and the fridge door wont open, and all the toy-vouchers spent on 'must-haves' has been a waste. We've all done it ;)
All you need is a notebook. Take a few days away, take your best walking boots & have a brilliant time, but note down anything you've genuinely forgotten or struggled without. When you live in one for a week you realise that vans are tiny, so you need to be a minimalist. Save your toy-vouchers for toys!
Enjoy Thursday - its a lovely feeling!

Ooooh I like that. That's getting ordered. Cheers Nigel.

Haha...very true Phil. We have actually been quite restrained compared to caravan buying...

though that may be down to being severely tempted by some very tasty TZ's I keep seeing and the old race bug rearing it's relentless head again!

Tow your caravan....just in case you’ve forgotten something or you have a falling out in the more confined space!

Haha...strangely that is one of the reasons for the campervan. Longer stays away using the caravan as a base and going off exploring in the campervan, particularly in Europe.

Not strange at all! We pull a twin-axle with our Cali for similar versatility
