Hiya people urgent help needed just bought my t6 started fitting my aftermarket stereo in last night and touched two wires together and has blown a fuse. I have located the 30amp spade fuse and replaced it but my whole ignition is not working so I have all interior lights stereo etc but just no ignition so can’t start the van. I have tested all fuses I can see in the cab and also the fuse box under dash and have also checked mega fuses and all ok I’m really stuck now many thanks

Battery box A is under the starter battery in the "E" Box

Fuse box B is below the cooling reservoir

If you're 100% that it's not a fuse you're probably gonna have to get the van scanned and get some error codes posted up.
Is the van in warranty? Is so call VW assist.
If not....
OBD11 and Carista are the most popular scanners for home users and can be got next day from Amazon. VCDS is another but more for commercial use. Good luck.

Have you taken any fuses out to check them or maybe to piggyback an ignition live for your new head unit, check they are all in the correct place. if you can see a metal terminal each side in an empty slot there should be a fuse in there.

I’m not 100% sure it’s not a fuse but I have continuity checked all fuses in cab there all good also checked all spade fuses under bonnet then I removed battery and exposed the mega fuses and checked all them and metre says all good. So I’m now thinking am I missing another fuse box somewhere or is it something more serious

Have you piggybacked an ign live?

All fuses are in right places from pictures I have seen and never got to piggyback any wires as as soon as I put my quad lock in I took out red and black wire from original harness and it touched another wire and blew a fuse, it blew the entertainment 30a fuse so replaced that went to start van and no lights on ignition no start but everything else works

If you sign up as a VIP you can download the circuit diagrams that will allow you to follow the power through the chain of fuses.

Does the dash illuminate? (do you see the warning lights test)

Do you know which wire the +ve from the quadlock touched to blow the entertainment fuse?

Use a meter and check for voltage on the fuses SC38 & 39

You might try a BCU reset by disconnecting the starter battery and touching the leads together to discharge the BCU then reconnect and test again.
