Hi all,
A friend recommended I join the forum to see if anyone knows what’s happening with my van.
I have a 2021 VW Transporter 6.1 T32 Kombi with the 110ps 5 speed manual. I keep having this intermittent issue where the engine won’t start when hot. It’s been going on for a couple of years now and I will go through periods of time where it’s not an issue. Recently it’s started doing it much more regularly.
In April this year I took it into a VW dealership and after pressing them, they apparently investigated it but couldn’t find any faults. Apparently they did a number of tests on the fuels lines and injectors and couldn’t replicate the issue. I asked them to refer to VW but I just don’t think it happened. Overall, I just don’t think they care.
The other day it did it again and sounded worse than it ever has. I have attached two videos which are you’ll be able to hear the engine in. It turns over but only reaches around 500 rpm. Again, only happens when hot.
If you need more info please ask away. Thanks for your help in advance.
Chris
