Has anyone got the subject kit and any opinions as I'm tempted by the current deals on offer. I've currently got the Mk1 version and am very pleased with as it does what I want it to do (mostly boiling a 1Kw kettle when I'm off EHU!) but I've got to say that I'm attracted by the faster charging potential of the Mk2. I note that the 'surge power' is 2Kw in my current unit but 1.5Kw in the Mk2 - does that make any difference in the real world (ie. boiling my 1Kw kettle)? What about the competition?

I've got 1, love it. WiFi connection is a game changer for me with my use case. I have it buried under the bed so with the WiFi/Bluetooth I can turn it on.

I use it as my off grid 240v (I have a hard wired extension lead) and I also have a 20A leisure battery charger I plug in to top up the van leisure battery when needed.

Use it for kettle, toster and an air fryer and never felt I've needed more output.

@soldas That’s very encouraging - thanks. Out of interest, how quickly does it dump a charge into the leisure battery (or have I misunderstood)?
Any other advice or comments would be appreciated - I’m particularly interested in how the new Jackery compares to similarly specked power packs out there. Thanks in advance.

Does seem like a cracking deal. With solar panels (200w) and cables / case etc all under £1k... Wouldn't need to make too many coffees or cheese and ham toasties to recoup money! With my lot!

So I'm not fully up to speed with all the numbers but I have a 105ah fogstar battery which I've connected their 20A charger too. This stays in place and the plug runs so I can plug thay directly into the Jackery. This then charges the fogstar at 20A which is pretty rapid. Again I've not fully put it to the test and someone could run the numbers but it feels like it would charge half the fogstar in a couple of hours.

For me the main reason for this is my van setup isn't the best and when on hook up my dc-dc charger only puts 2A into the fogstar.

So basically now I plug my van in to mains, the Jackery is plugged into my vans 240V so charges up and then at the same time can output 20A to my fogstar.

If everything was out of juice I'd probably be fully charged in 4 ish hours at a guess.

I also have the new Jackery 240 which runs my starlink for a full day no issue.

Side note I also have solar, only 100w and the Jackery has a 12v lead so technically with the right conditions everything in my setup can charge each other depending which way around you need the power. Jackery to leisure, leisure to Jackery.

A bit of a strange setup but works very well for someone not really knowing what they are doing and I also use the 1000 for running tools as that when needed and I can't be bothered with an extension lead.

@soldas Thanks for the additional comments. I'm not sure that I fully understand what you've wired to what to get everything charging but that's probably down to me rather than you! I'll have to give it a bit more thought as it could be useful for my system.
Anyway, I've now placed the order now. The Jackery website also has the carry bag and 12V car charger available at a greatly reduced price for orders over £299 but it wouldn't let me add them to the order at anything other than full price. I've emailed Jackery about it and will also call on Monday morning to see if they will add them.
I've now got to decide whether I want too keep the old one which is still in tip top condition or sell it on here (or elsewhere).

Basically my Jackery can change my leisure battery via the above charger, it just that I've run in permanently extension leads from the jackery to the battery charger so it's always plugged in and I can then turn on via the app.

In the photos above the 240V socket above the seat is a lead that runs off the Jackery.

Like I say bit of a random setup but covers my needs.

I have a jackery 500 that I currently use in
my house to charge mobile devices and tablets. I charge this with a Jackery 100w folding panel when the sun shines (which is quite rare in this neck of the woods.

I also charge it from my basic shed solar set up. A 100w rigid panel on my shed roof which feeds rotating car batteries x3 linked to a 500w inverter.

Works quite well

@soldas. I understand now - I thought you had done something a bit more complicated that that! I have had something similar in the back of my mind for a while now but haven't done anything about it. My system comprises a Renogy 100Ah Smart leisure battery with a Victron mains charger, CTek battery to battery charger and a 160W roof mounted solar panel feeding into the latter. The limitations of the Renogy were brought out when we were in Greece in September and parked up in the shade whilst staying in an Air BnB for a few days when the Rebogy was getting towards low after about 32 hours powering just the fridge. I might have to do a bit of experimentation!
