Load area LED bulbs go out after a few seconds...

@mmi Really sorry, in my infinite wisdom, I did all this backwards and cleared the codes before the reads
I have attached what I have found. Probably not much help now though. From what I can see, I need to change a glow plug.

No worries. Yes, seems that the cylinder 2 glow plug is the place to start investigation.

An interesting bit from from the log and the adaptations

which is normal value for DPF (diesel particulate filter) at about (25.000 km or) 15.000 miles. So the DPF has been replaced recently, this was one of things why I was curious when the faults were cleared last time to see if they would have coincided. Anyways, life expectancy for the DPF is approx. 200.000 miles under "normal" conditions.

Another good thing is the following:

which basically tells manufacture date of the ECU and the engine indeed has got (only) one update.

The log was missing these two - didn't they show up? Just curious - no need chase them anymore

So I'm hopeful that the faults in the early logs were remnants from before the engine update. The updated engine shouldn't produce the fault 31103 at all normally. Also false alarms of the fault 33262 should now be gone. I'm definitely interested to hear how it goes on with these faults, so please keep us informed

I will do. Your help as well as everyone else's has been very much appreciated.

The 2 red markers were missing. Maybe they got deleted after I cleared the faults.

Good news about the DPF, I would never have known that. The Nox sensor and front oxygen sensors were both replaced in Sept 20. This was before I bought the van. Maybe they didn't clear the fault.

Oh... one more thing. If you are planning to change van's codings with your cable, it's good to be aware there might be some unexpected side effects. Anyways, seems to be ok for fault code reading and tracking.

Then back to your initial problem...
I'd start by removing all the bulbs you've replaced with the originals and see if the lights stay on as they should. If they do, replace each bulb individually and test after each.

It's been a while but I finally found time to get this to the garage. They did my timing belt change along with full service and I had them change all the glow plugs too. However, EML came on before I could get home. Plugged it into VCDS and it is coming up with cylinder 3 glow plug. This was definitely changed as they told me it had a sensor on it. Can anyone shed some light on this so I am armed with knowledge when I take it back to them? Thanks
