Looking at a T6 for horsetrailer towing

Hi everyone and thanks for letting me join. I have my eye on a 2018 2.0 TDI 150 DSG 4Motion and one of it's duties would be pulling a two horse trailer, mostly with only one horse loaded. I am a bit spooked by rumours that VW strongly advises against towing with DSG. Is this a serious concern? Are there workarounds? I have never had a DSG vehicle before and don't know thhe nuances, but I don't want to buy something that I am going to send on a death spiral .

Dunno where you’ve heard that. I’ve towed a 2000kg boat all over Europe with our 204/DSG/4mot, including up some lairy hills in the Alps & Scotland, never missed a beat.

Agree with @Salty Spuds Not heard of any advice not to tow with dsg.

We regularly tow a hoofing big caravan (2000kg) with no issues
