Thanks @Dave F for upper dash - yours looking good. I am doing this first just have two part no options for outer vents in gloss black: 7E6 819203E GVK or 7E6 819203G GVK both ‘Satin’ black - assumption this is shiny gloss?
I can dig it out but my vents aren’t gloss black so don’t think it will help.
But the same would apply if you see a van with the ones you won’t and use the bin they have to be the same I assume?.

Is the colour of the lower dash dependant on the exterior colour? Mine is light grey and the exterior is Indium, but I'd prefer beige to match better with the cream Westfalia panels and trim in the back.

I bought mine new last year and really wished I’d ordered the comfort dash upgrade which includes a cab carpet. It came like a workman’s van with moonrock grey lower panels and door cards (all bit plasticky). Modifying upper dash to oem glossy bits, changing the lower dash and door cards to darker Titan colour is more ethically appealing.

I thought there is only beige or black. Maybe someone might want to do a swap.

No mine’s definitely grey. I’ve looked through the trim colours though and you’re right, there is only Moonrock `grey and Black. Maybe a bit of colour blindness causing some to see it with a yellowish tinge.

I can’t find my paperwork at the minute but when I picked the centre wine holder part up he told me it was moon rock grey I panicked and thought I had ordered the wrong part as I thought mine definitely wasn’t grey but when I got him it was correct.
I looks nothing like grey maybe from the moon it looks grey

I have found Pauly’s part number list in the VIP area useful. Then cross checking this with 7zap.com/vw online parts catalogue you can gain an understanding of trim colours. Generally for lower dash any part number ending in 92W is moonrock (light) grey, any ending in 82V is Titan black (dark grey). I can’t see any beige listed anywhere, but I am an amateur with vw parts catalogues!

Ah to me Moonrock Grey = Beige

My Golf was called Limestone Grey, to me it was Beige (almost the same as the Team beige on here

I am in the process of painting all the lower dash parts from mine. They were beige or moonrock grey if you want! I wanted to change them to titan black (which is really dark grey!). The problem is that nothing really matches perfectly anyhow, the top of my comfort dash is a very slightly different colour/texture to the end panels and the doorcards from a Caravelle are slightly different again. I bought a piece of lower dash in titan black to try and match the colour and that is a slightly different colour to the doorcards etc as well. The colour differences are only slight and i think some of it is down to different textures and different plastics used. Anyhow,i had a few different colours mixed and eventually got one im happy with. I painted the lower dash part under the steering wheel, the grab handles, sunglasses holder, interior light etc and am really happy with the result. I have now removed the glove box to do and will do the centre comfort dash console after that if it ever stops raining. It is not a perfect match but like i said, the proper vw panel in titan black was not either and the cost to buy the parts was pretty high also

Any pics and info to method and paint used? My worry with painting is chipping or rubbing off.

All the parts at VW Supply on line come in at £475 inc vat and delivery so I get your point on cost . I have just ordered the panel under steering column as a tester. Sounds like the B posts will require painting, @Martin Gibson what paint are you using?

I will post some pics of what I've painted and the paint details later when im back at home @Skyliner33 . I have had the grab handles and the panel at my knees etc done for a few weeks now and havent had any problems so far although i did have to use a clear primer before painting which i think has made a diffrence. Is that price for a comfort dash centre console with the bottle cooler etc @Keefff ? If so, that is a lot cheaper than i was getting quoted,i think it was more than that for the centre console alone and then there was two parts of the glovebox and the panel under the wheel. I have just had the pillars etc trimmed so i never had to paint the B-pillars

@Martin Gibson that is the price for a standard lower dash swap (6 x parts). I think the centre console drinks cooler upgrade (as per comfort dash) is another £450 on top. But you wouldn’t need the standard centre console saving £130, if this makes sense. So to change to Titan black and add drinks cooler would be about £800ish

I have had a quite a bit of work done at Professional Retrofits’s at Nuneaton. They are quoting £440+vat fitted for the centre drinks console (see pic). They do moonrock or Titan colours.

Yes that sounds more like it @Keefff ,i think it was going to cost about £8-900 for me to change it all when i priced it up. Anyhow, here is some photos of what i have done so far @Skyliner33 .The first few are of interior bits i have painted, the second last one is the dash panel i have painted next to a genuine vw panel in titan black and the last one is the paint and primer i have used. I gave the parts a light rub with a scotchbrite pad,3 coats of primer and then about 4 coats of paint. The paint literally needs dusting on from a distance of about a foot. I am happy with the results so far and even happier that it is not costing £8-900! I am interested to see what you thinkIMG_1509.jpgIMG_1510.jpgIMG_1511.jpgIMG_1512.jpgIMG_1513.jpgIMG_1514.jpg

Yep I am impressed too! I don’t think I would do my headlining and A posts though. The comparison photo of trim panel below steering column is brill! You can’t tell the difference I think I am gonna get some buzzweld for my lower B posts!

What’s the name of the top coat colour?

The headlining and A-pillars have been trimmed in Alcantara @Keefff ,just the handles, speaker grilles etc have been painted. The code for the colour is on the side of the smaller can, make sure to use the primer also,it makes a big difference in durability i think. That code is 5553

Thats all the dash panels, centre console, drinks cooler etc all painted and re-fitted. There is a slight difference in colour like i mentioned before but it seems to show up more in the photos than it does in the flesh to be honest,i am happy enough with the colour anyhow. I obviously can't comment on any sort of durability on the dash panels as they have just been done but the grab handles etc have been done a few weeks now and seem to be ok so fingers crossedIMG_1570.jpgIMG_1571.jpgIMG_1572.jpgIMG_1573.jpgIMG_1574.jpg

Oh and fitted wireless charging while i was at it but havn't a clue how to post a video so not too sure if this will work or not
. This was obviously me testing it in the house before re-fitting and wiring into the van
