Lumpy T6 - Triggers Broom! Misfire & Vibration under 1500rpm.

Sorry for reviving an old thread... But just wondered if mapping out the EGR has affected the DPF regenerations at all? Darkside reckon this can't be done if you still have the DPF installed or it will clog. These coolers seem really unreliable and I suspect mine has gone, so cost aside seems wise to map it out but I'd prefer to keep the DPF.
I think it’s well proven that is not the case. DSD do market an empty DPF (off road use), the cynic in me says they have a batch sat in a shed to shift.
That said they also specialise in re-mapping, if the map is for higher output that requires a higher gas flow due to increased fuel consumption. The stock DPF isn’t designed for this capacity.

Hi all,

I have been looking at this thread and the conclusion was not great for the owner.
Had a similar issue over 2 years ago slight coolant loss from egr cooler over a few days and was replaced under warranty.
Having issue with vibration from engine and was told to do a compression test so dreading that and hoping for the best. It could be a faulty injector also. Symptoms no way near as bad bad as the van in this thread tho. Vw should have compression tested it when that fault occurred and maybe they did and didn’t want to tell me? Here’s links to logs I’ve taken at idle fuel pressure are all ok.
Could anyone have a quick scan of it? Not sure if you need an account to view these links? Log #869657
