Hi mate, I need as much help, advice, images, a miricale as possible I want to start the removal of the plastics in my LWB t5.1 shuttle, but need to remove the rear HVAC unit. Mine definatley has aircon, not just a heater so I understand that pipes need removing, front system re linking somehow. Any advice would be a great help thanks.
Quick question on this gents. I'm taking the roof out of my shuttle for a pop top. And found a blue plug in the loom that appears to go from the main HVAC unit to a flap actuator I'm the roof. I'm planning on keeping the rear HVAC and venting it through the units so do I need this actuator in the set up still or can I just disconnect it and wrap it into the loom like I'd do with the spare light connectors.
Not sure if you have this all sussed, but for info, HVAC works fine with the actuator unplugged and removed. There are two outlets from the HVAC unit, and 3 possible vent directions according to the controller. The roof actuator is used to split the top HVAC outlet into two separate ducts in the headlining labelled as face vents and screen vents on the controller. Without the roof actuator, you only have the two outlets and the both face/screen settings do the same thing. (Floor vent setting comes from the front outlet). Works perfectly well.
