NumberPlate LED + water

I have installed 2 lots of these units into my T6 and they have both failed due to water ingress! lucky THQ have sent me a FOC replacement but I don’t want to fit them until I can resolve the issue. I am thinking the water is coming in from the cover above the light units (barn doors)? I don’t think it’s coming in from the seal area as I have that pretty tight and water doesn’t run up! anyone else had this issue and know of a fix?

I have had the same issue and flickering then failing after a few months. They get red hot too. Maybe back to standard housings with led bulbs?

yeah last time I tried LED bulbs I got a dash light warning that's why I am using these units.

I still had to put ballast resistors in as well to stop random errors on the combi meter
