T6/T6.1 LED Rear Lights With Sequential LED Indicator "retrofit"

I am not familiar with his wiring I am afraid.
Have you got wiring diagram or instructions?
As far as I know it's the same wiring that I was using, and have since moved away from

You mean door lock contact switch?
Has he verified minimum voltage for his lights?

Jeez I wish they did a dummies guide for all of non sparky types out there who want to do this mod..

I haven't measured interior lights voltage,
maybe @mmi have.
Here you go...

From top to bottom:
  1. Full span 2 seconds - PWM sweeps 0...100% in 1.34 seconds (starts here at 0.322 sec, reaches 100% at 1.663 seconds)
  2. Startup - depicted 0.2 seconds (timeline 0.3...0.5 s)
  3. A sample from 1.0 - 1.2 seconds
  4. Reaches 100% DC 12 Volts, - depicted timeline 1.5 - 1.7 seconds
Measured across the "LOAD" thus effectively depicted only the PWM of Switched negative.

Love this @mmi - great PWM data.

what did you use to capture?

A new toy - pretty impressive capabilities nowadays... even at reasonable price ;)

PS. Added yet another level of spoilers.
wow - a proper decent scope - im very jealous of your new toy.

have fun with it. :mexican wave:

Sadly, I can report that this mod is nigh on impossible on the T6.1 LED rear clusters. There is no easy access inside. I have a spare cluster that I’ve been experimenting on. The only easy way inside would be to cut the lens off but there would be little hope of re attaching it so it looked OEM. It’s not one flat PCB inside with all the LEDs on
