Operation B14 has commenced

Looks excellent @DaveyB and the wheels and black/white theme really goes well. When I eventually get mine back the B14 will be going on next. Now you've had them a little how do they compare to your 30mm Eibach springs that you had?
Initial thoughts are they are really good, less roll but not overly harsh on the comfort front. Have not done a massive amount of miles in it yet, but off to Pwllheli on Friday so that should give it a good test. Although the Mrs did come in the other day and said that she had gone in to a roundabout a bit quick and was a bit worried that it was going to get a bit tippy. She said "there was none, it was really level". So there you go, recommendation indeed! Just need to get the backs dropped down a bit more, but by Christ that ain't gonna be easy to do myself. Reckon it'll definitely have to go back for the specialists to do.

That's good to know your pleased with the mod. Always nice when something is as good as you expect/hope.

B14's going on my new Gen6 ASAP after seeing this thread

***apparantly we can't put coilovers on a car with DCC ****

I can second the ride of the B14's
Fitted them myself to a 180 highline a couple of weeks back.
I think the ride is smoother and cornering is much better.
Still good now it's on 20's which I thought might be a bit harsh, but are actually totally fine

Glad you've found them good with 20's. I think they are well worth the money, and if I my fair lady can spot the difference then they've got to be good.

Where's the best price for these kits? Anyone know if they fit the 4motion? Seen a couple of sites that have said T32 except 4motion

Transporter hq quoted me £1100 fitted to my 4motion
Bognor motors quoted £1200 fitted with 4 wheel alignment
So they will fit but seems strange that some sites say they wont
Studley glass got his for all inc with vat £999 but you would need to fit yourself or get someone to do it for you

Yes cant wait to get them on but dont no when it will be yet :(.

Seems strange how some will fit B14s to 4motion and some will not. I think @BognorMotors has fitted them to 4motion

Yes I've spoken to oli from Bognor motors, I'm down that way Easter Monday week and asked if he was around but he is off in the van on holiday, he did have a t32 4motion that I wanted to see the setup but it's sold now

As above, we've fitted loads to 4motiuons with no issues. Always happy to demo the kit, as long as the vehicle is around.

Anyone had B14s fitted in the North of England? Sadly Bognor is a bit far (I'm in the Doncaster area)

Also, what sort of difference did it make to your insurance premium?

As everyone raves about the B14s, and I'm less than impressed with the ride of my current set up, I've now managed to get a pair of the B14 Bilstein rear springs and adjusters to go with my B8 rear dampers (which I'm reliably informed is the same damper as in the B14 kit).

So I'm now intrigued on the adjustment of the rears.

I've seen that the range of the B14 kit is -40mm to around - 70mm. So I'm thinking fully extended on the adjuster gives you the 40mm drop and the fully down on the adjuster the 70mm, but how to on earth to you get something like a 50mm drop? Do you fully extend the adjuster and then wind it down by 10 mm, as it looks like they are difficult to adjust when in place - and I'm not sure I have the patience to install them, then have to pull them out again each time until I get it where I want them?

Is there any rough guide to the adjustment that translates to a hub centre to wheel arch height? Mines an unloaded Kombi.
